Mission Statement

• We are a Christian Ministry, called by God to nurture wholeness and hope by empowering children and families through service and education.

Vision Statement

• To develop & maintain the emotional, academic, and spiritual growth of children and families through the ministries and programs of: S.T.E.P.S., C.A.R.E.S., T.O.O.L.S., W.I.S.E.

• Provide access of resources and services within the MLB (Mechanicsville, Lonsdale, & Beaumont) communities.

• Establish and maintain financial and physical resources in reserve to support these program needs.

Financial Information

• We are a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization. We are listed with the city of Knoxville and State of Tennessee as a charity that solicits donations throughout the year. We are a Community Partner with The Greater Knoxville United Way and a National Institute Mission of The United Methodist Church.

• The 2007-2008 budget is $382,277. Please see the following charts for income and expenses.

• The Board of Directors have made a recent commitment to realign itself and focus attention on strategic planning and fund-raising in order to insure a solid foundation for the Wesley House. This along with the continued and growing support of the churches and its members will allow the Wesley House to continue for another 100 years of service.
