Sandy - Wesley House Senior Program participant

I can't thank you enough for your donation of food and household supplies that you brought me before Christmas.  Those things will last for a long time.  It not only helped me through Christmas, but in January my check was reduced by three fourths.  God always knows what the future holds.

Sincerely,

Sandy

P.S.

Also thank you for the gas card and Food City card.

God bless each one of you for your loving outreach to the community.

I am sorry that it has taken me so long to write this, but I want to say thank you for the scholarship.  Wesley House has been such a positive experience for my grandson Chris.  Thank you from Christopher and his grandmother.

A little time out of my day to give some well deserved PRAISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know that complaints usually outweigh praise, but I am e-mailing to give some praise to the Wesley House Staff and Volunteers!

I would like to express my gratefulness to the Wesley House staff and volunteers for their hard work and dedication of a job well done. I don't know how many times a parent truly stops to give thanks, including myself, for a job well done. I know we as parents always say thanks when the Wesley House is taking them on outings, making sure they have Christmas gifts and etc.

Do we truly stop to say you make a difference or you have made a difference in my child's life? Or thank you for the extra that you do, etc. I see the good that is generated at the Wesley House.

I also would like to give well deserving praise to Mr. Anthony for following through with great dedication in helping Karl and being concerned with his potential level of achieving well earned grades. His report cards have revealed great improvement thanks to your concern and hard work (Thank You!).

Ms. Lizzie also needs some praise. Robert report card does not reflect improvement in reading but during the conference the teacher stated that she keeps a tracking sheet of reading levels and Robert is progressing very well and should be close to his reading level by end of school year (Thank You!).

I am so thankful for the extra that the Wesley House does because I am a believer in support and the saying "It takes a village to raise a child." As long as it is positive support I am in the village. I know that my boys are a handful at times but they are my blessing from above and I want what is best for them at all times.

Thank you for all that you do! Yeah Wesley House!

Albert King - friend of Wesley House

I belatedly wish to thank the Wesley House staff and the children you mentor for a wonderful kindness. During December, I had my right knee replaced. Shortly thereafter, I received a packet of handcrafted get-well cards created by the children of Wesley House. The cards were creative and thoughtful. It was emotionally uplifting to me at a time when my morale was low. It is clear that each child at Wesley House has unique capabilities and potential. I congratulate the staff for your continuing efforts to develop these young people. Your work will reap positive results that the community and even you may never fully appreciate. Please let my wife and I know if we can assist you in some way.

Most importantly, please convey my heartfelt thanks to the leaders and children who shared their skills and expressed their concern.

Yours truly,

Albert King

Reverend Joe Black - friend of Wesley House

I would like to share something from the past.

I lived one block from the old Wesley House before I-640 was built the first 6 years of my life.  I went to kindergarten in that building.  My older brother broke his arm on the playground.  I took my first piano lessons at the "new" Wesley House where it is presently located.  We moved to another part of Knoxville but still had relatives living two blocks down on the other side of Dameron.

I am still playing the piano and I am pastor of Middlesettlements United Methodist Church in Maryville.  I have been a pastor for 42 years.  I appreciate the Wesley House and what it did for me in the early days of my life.  I have been there for some pastor meetings and fondly remembered the spot where I took my piano lessons and have had Wesley House reps at churches where I pastored.  May God continue to bless the work among children who desperately need that love and care it provides.  Thank you for what you do and I am thankful for those who served in the past to provide for me.

Dear Wesley House Staff,

I am thanking you for the wonderful two years at the Wesley House.  I really do appreciate your patience, your caring, the activities, and the field trips.  I'm going to miss coming there, but it looks like I can't.  It was fun while it lasted, and again, thanks.

Your Friend,

Martez Hill

P.S.  Mr. Stephen, maybe you can come to my granny's to take me golfing some time.

Dear Wesley House Staff,

Thank you for the best two years that I went there.  Thank you for the patience, the caring, the activities, the field trips, the loving, and how kind Mrs. Kari, Mr. Richard, and the counselors were to me.  I really appreciate all of you for everything you have done.

Yours truly,
